Hello internet pals of music. Today we’re actually listening to something that was released in the burning year of our (over)lord 2022, just so no one thinks we dwell in a nostalgia bubble only…
Warthogs are misunderstood. Despite the reputation their appearance lends them, they’re generally passive herbivores. Did you know they live in abandoned aardvark dens? They’re resourceful! They have a plant-based diet! In dry seasons, they can survive months without water!
SERMONS! is reader-supported. There are both free and paid subscriptions. If you’re wishing to support my work, I encourage you to become a paid subscriber.
NYC’s Warthog are resourceful, too. They recycle: their last 3 releases have all been self-titled. This song opens their most recent self-titled 7”.
You can tell it’s going to be a good hardcore record because there are seven skulls on the cover. Seven, one for every inch of vinyl!*
*The reaper / Larry mascot doesn’t count)
SERMONS! is brought to you by Musik Klub. You can also find Jamie on Twitter and Instagram, if that’s your thing. Like what you’re hearing? Help spread the word!
