Hello internet pals of music. Today is a good day to keep hope alive with this song taken from the incomparable soul legend’s amazing album, Curtis / Live!.
There’s a cynicism afoot in the USA today that I can taste and see and feel even though I’m on the northern side of its border. There will be a slew of quoting and tweeting and yammering about MLK’s legacy by the very people who were against even making today a national holiday, as well as those seeking to exploit it.
But I won’t give up hope.

Sometimes, nothing else speaks to the matter better than music. And with all that can and will be said today (and it will be said, over and over and over in the media), maybe it’s best to let Curtis sing it home.
Keep the faith.
