In the meantime, here’s my very Texan grandmother’s favourite tipple, something someone titled South of the Border Buttermilk. I can’t vouch for it, because as kids we were only given cans of Miller Lite. Texas!

1 oz lime juice

2 oz lemon juice

3/4 oz grenadine

1 1/2 tsp sugar

1 oz Tom Collins mix

1 oz Rum (151 proof, very important)

1 oz Tequila

Blend with ice
