Severed Heads
Cannibal Movie — Teste Mozzate (2012/ Italian Weirdo Instrumental Psych)
Hello internet pals of music. Today we’re chomping the day’s guts with a short-lived duo of freaks from Italy.
Around the first decade of the new millennium, I discovered a small group of Italian bands including In Zaire, Heroin In Tahiti, and Cannibal Movie. The internet used to be cool.
Let’s set the record straight.
The internet isn’t cool anymore. All this shit sucks. It’s circling the drain. If anyone still listened to the radio, Sermons! would just be a radio show.
But there’s internet radio…
It’s still the internet. It’s all an attention trap. Even this.
SERMONS! is reader-supported. If you’re wishing to support our work, I encourage you to become a subscriber. Otherwise, we’ll all probably forget about this thing.
If you’re not familiar with the film genre best known as Cannibal Movies, don’t fix that. Reprehensible films. No redeeming value. A genre so vile that there are maybe only ten or so films that fit the category. I think I’ve seen them all. Numerous times. Trust me when I say that you don’t need to see Cannibal Holocaust, Mangiati Vivi! (aka Eaten Alive!), or Cannibal Ferox (aka Make Them Die Slowly). You won’t feel good about yourself afterwards.
But I will say if you like dark and harsh psychedelic music or horror flicks, you’ll probably like this. Very moody, like a soundtrack to a nightmarish cinema in your head—much like one of those Cannibal Movies, with their sweaty jungles and the stench of rotting flesh.
I’m probably going to have to watch one of those disgusting movies now. I will never be getting into so-called Heaven.

Musik Klub: “Everythang’s Workin”

That is one grim track! Spine-tingling. Spooky as hell.
